AI Safety & Pedagogical Transparency
Our Framework for Responsible Educational AI
Artificial Intelligence offers powerful capabilities for customizing educational worksheets and learning materials. However, in early childhood and primary education, AI outputs must adhere to rigorous safety, accuracy, and pedagogical integrity standards.
1. Deterministic Math & Factual Verification
Large language models can occasionally produce hallucinations or calculation inconsistencies. Child Pathshala applies algorithmic, deterministic validation to mathematical problems, answer keys, and rubric solutions before presenting them to parents and students. For foundational arithmetic, multiplication tables, and geometry, programmatic verifiers ensure numerical accuracy.
2. Strict Pedagogical Scope (K–6 Focus)
All AI generation prompts and templates are hard-constrained to foundational primary curriculums. The system enforces strict grade-level bounds for vocabulary complexity, reading Lexile levels, and cognitive difficulty, preventing inappropriate or advanced material from appearing in early elementary resources.
3. Zero Model Training on User Prompts
We believe learning data belongs to families and schools. Under our commercial API arrangements with foundation model providers:
- User-entered prompts, student assignment requests, and uploaded learning materials are never used to train, retrain, or fine-tune public AI models.
- API communications use enterprise zero-data-retention agreements where inputs are processed strictly in ephemeral memory for the duration of worksheet generation.
4. 24-Hour Ephemeral Media Processing
When an adult parent or teacher uploads a handwriting sample or worksheet photograph for AI analysis, the image is held securely in an isolated, encrypted temporary scratch storage and automatically deleted within 24 hours. We never permanently retain student handwriting or document uploads.
5. The Vital Role of Adult Supervision
AI tools on Child Pathshala are designed as collaborative aids for adults—parents, homeschoolers, and certified teachers. We strongly encourage adult review before printing or administering any AI-assisted worksheet, reinforcing human connection as the foundation of learning.
6. Reporting Inaccuracies
If you ever encounter an answer key discrepancy or educational error in an AI-assisted resource, our editorial team reviews all flags within 24 business hours. Please submit reports via our Contact Page.
